Show Germans Guard , Major From Utah on Russian Trip MAJOR HTJBEST F. CKKIS- , TIANSON, brother of Dr. J. F. Christianson of Salt Lake, has been enjoying some novel experiences experi-ences since he became associated with the United States military mission mis-sion in Germany. He tells in recent letters to his brother of his assignment as-signment to the work of repatriating repatriat-ing Russian prisoners of war in Germany. Ha has made several trips into Russia, through Poland and Lithuania Lithu-ania and into Turkey in connection with his work. On one trip he escorted es-corted 1SS6 former Russian soldiers out of Germany. One strange situation situa-tion was that, he was guarded on the trip by German soldiers. Major Christianson has recently received his promotion from captain. He went to . France . with the dental corps and only witltin recent months has he been helping with the repatriation of Germans. |
