Hearty appreciation of the Salt Lake Philharmonic orchestra's interpretation of an excellent program greeted that organization organi-zation at its second popular concert given at the Empress theater yesterday afternoon. after-noon. One would like to be able to say that a large audience applauded, but in truth, there were many vacant chairs, and while it was hot in the street, the auditorium was cool and comfortably Inviting. Under the baton of Director Shepherd its many beauties were lnani- ICArtlstlcallv, the gem of the concert was the "A.ve Wnria" trio (violin, ha up and organ), plaved by Albert Shepherd, Lydia White Boothby anf "Miss Mary Crowley.
