In each case, entrance was gained, e.ther by breaking a glass pane or bv foivlns tho door lock. The greatest loss was sustained by II. C. J'itt, 1-IS West North Temple street. lien his home was untered bv prowlers betwe'.'ii E.:3ij and 7:30 last night through a rear window. Jewelry and $JU0 In mnney were taken. The stolen jewelry Included a lavallere, sot with a small diamond and a pearl; :v gold fob, three rings, a silver chain, and an ivory set. A purse, containing $4 in money, was also taken. The thieves worked at leisure, taking time to consume con-sume a meal. They also stole a mince pie, six loaves of bread, and a quart of milk. Cigars, cignrcts and gum, valued at f 175, were taken by mbbers from the Arcade pool hall, West Third South street. : last night between 0:10 and 10:35 o'clock. The entire glass pane was removed re-moved from a rear door, so as to allow thieves plenty of room to escape with the:r Innt. Thieves ransacked the home of Mrs. Sarah A it ken, 1 S Sixth avenue, Satur-Jay Satur-Jay nig lit, while the family was absent, and obtained ?15 in money, a gold watch and various tirticdes of clothing. Entrance En-trance was gained by prying the lock rn tho rear door. A search for valuables valu-ables was made by the thieves, and every drawer and container in the house was emptied of Its contents.
