Show TWO ARE KILLED IN TRAIN CRASH ST. JAMES,, Missouri, Dec 21. Two persons were killed and forty-eight Injured In-jured when a Frisco passenger train was derailed three miles east of here today. The train was en route from Oklahoma City., Okla., to St. Louis. The accident was caused when an axle of one of the coaches broke. The dead are J. O. Hopper Hop-per of West Virginia, and Mrs. Win. 11. Brehn of Stk Louts. The Injurel were rushed to a hospital In St. Louis. John M, Weaver of Cincinnati Cin-cinnati suffered a fractured skull and his condition was said to be serious. Mrs. Prehn was a Red Cross supervisor In the southwestern division and had been directing the Christmas rollcall in Oklahoma. Okla-homa. The train was running ns the second section of Ft i soo passenger No. 10 and was composed of six coaches. The accident acci-dent occurred about 9 a. m. The only coach demolished was the one In which tho two dead were riding. It was hurled against a freight train on a siding. |
