Show Orchestra Pleasse Audiences at American 'p HOCSAXDS attended the premier of the American tlieater philharmonic orchestra of thirty pieces yesterday. That Salt Lake craves the best in music, motion mo-tion pictures and surroundings was demonstrated dem-onstrated by the crowds which flocked to this popular motion picture playhouse throughout the afternoon and evening. T-nder the direction of Ted Henkel and with OlHe Smith, associate director, the orchestra made a big hit with the audiences audi-ences yesterday. The musical program included an overture, "Morning. Noon and Night.'.' besides several other classical selections. se-lections. On the same program is Jack Tick-ford's Tick-ford's latest photoplay feature, "A Burglar Burg-lar by Proxy." A comedy drama, this picture is one of the best Pickford has ever made. Pickford, as Jack Robin, hero of circumstance, cir-cumstance, gets his start in adventure with a toothache and a damaged tire. Then follows love thiit compels him to turn amateur burglar. This acquaints him with Spider Kelley, an expert on "Got-it-easy," who follows Jack like a shadow into the innermost portals of society so-ciety where jewels , and excitement abound. The grand denouement comes when Jn e k e n t e r s his own sweetheart's house on a mystrious errand. A Harold Lloyd comedy and a Ford weekly complete the bill. |
