Show LABORER IS KILLED AS WALL COLLAPSES Special to The Tribune. McGIL-L. New, Aug. 31 G. Lahashi, a lahorer in the employ of the Nevada Consolidated Copper company, met death by suffocation about noon today when the walls of the roaster caved and buried bur-ied Itahashi and Y. Hlrata, a fellow workman, who escaped practically uninjured. unin-jured. The body of Itahashi was buried in such a position that it required several sev-eral minutes to release him, while his partner was partly protected by a beam which had kept the brick from entirely covering him. The two men were engaged in cleaning the dust from the roaster flues and were working on the north side of the build-in build-in tr. The center wail was about to be repaired and men were engaged in hanging hang-ing the rood to replace ihe brirk wall with one of concrete. The center wall caved, crushing the north wall out wi th it and enffuifinc the two laborers. Ita-hflshl Ita-hflshl is survived by a wife and two chll-; chll-; dren in Japan. I |
