Show WEST HIGH CLASSES TO ELECT OFFICERS Annual election of officers of the senior, se-nior, junior, freshman, sophomore and commercial senior classes is to be held this week at West hiph school. The election of the senior officers is scheduled sched-uled for this afternoon. The juniors and sophomores will elect Thursday. "Garrison school," in former years known aa "non-com" school to the officers offi-cers and ncn-commissioned officers of the local junior reserve officers' training train-ing corps unit, started yesterday afternoon after-noon when Sergeant William O'Brien, post instructor, assembled the many cadet instructors. The object of the school is to prepare the company and squad commanders to teach members of their commands. The school follows the dismissal of drill and lasts from thirty to sixty minutes. The membership is compulsory for all officers. Scnoo yells, songs and announcements by Principal F. D. Keeler made up the assembly program held at West htgh school yesterday morning. The assembly assem-bly hall was crowded with many students stu-dents sitting in the windows, while many could not gain that vantage. President Raymond Wallace of the student body presided and Arvo Luoma led the yells. |
