It' will provide for cooperative diagnosis and treatment and will arrange a central : nedical control for dispensary service. Comfort, privacy and dignity, good nurs-irn, nurs-irn, adequate clerical help and a staff tor' studving the social problems of the patients 'ami assisting the physicians to .serine thn proper environment for the bfst medical results are planned. There will ulso be a linking up of the dispensary dispen-sary with the social staff, an admission svsteni that will insure justice in the administration, and a follow-up committee commit-tee to examine the home concVlions of t i io patients. Endowment Planned. liesides the accommodations afforded at the institution proper, the plans contemplate contem-plate the permanent endowment of beds for those seriously in need of attention. atten-tion. Financing these endowments is to be perfected by appropriations1 from the citv; county and slate and by legacies. 'i'ho "Mealtn Center" is not to be regarded re-garded as a charity establishment, but as a place whe.ro honest people may go and discuss the problems of maintaining their phvsical viiior with the best authorities and yet not incur obligations beyond their means. The personal services of the physicians will be free, but charges may be mado for all drugs, appliances, X-rav examinations and supplies. j A committee of five physicians. on ! from each of the. private hospitals, one from the lav profession and a member of the city hoard of health, will be appointed ap-pointed bv the t!alt Lako Medical society so-ciety as executive officers. A chief of the "board will be elected from this commit com-mit tec annually. To facilitate the routine of treatment and insure the best service, the clinic v ill ho divided into thrco departments, each under tho direction of a specialist. A competent dentist will be employed, and a mirsfi in each school district wilt bo appointed bv the board of education to look after tho welfare of the children. Tho duties of these nurses will extend to children under li. as well as to those of school age. and they will be required to visit homes and distribute cards to all who desire medical attention. Growth Foreseen. That the venture may have no chance of failure because of incompetent financing, financ-ing, the commitleo suggested that a board of business men be selected to take care of all questions regarding money. H was the fervent hope of those who have the matter in charge that an organization or-ganization will be perfected so strong and reliable that people will feel assured the money given to the institution will be used for the purpose for which it was donated. U was estimated by the committee com-mittee that enough money will be available avail-able from donations to permanently endow en-dow a sufficient number of beds in the local hospital to take care of all who are unable to pay for tho service. An examination was made by the committee com-mittee of tho records of similar institutions institu-tions in cities of Europe and the United b tales, and in every instance the good results were overwhelming. Not a person per-son of those who have studied tho proposition propo-sition expressed any doubts of its value. Tho committee consisted of I'r. Hosmer, chairman; Dr. T. J. Uowells, Dr. George "vYeiler, Dr. V. S. Kherbeck, Dr. YV. D. Dunohei. Dr, "vV. R. Calderwood. Dr. J. irilcblow. Dr. G. W. -Middle-ton, Dr. E. D. Isgrecn, Dr. "Warren Benjamin and Dr. Dcile A.
