Show Winding Trail Leads to Jobs for Soldiers ONE town in Idalio is making a name for itself in solving the returned re-turned soldier employment problem. Coporal Eastman K. Gorton, formerly at Fort Douglas, who was recently discharged from an officers' training camp, went, to Soda Springs, Idaho, looking for a joh. He found one, as county clerk, and went to work in his new position hefore he had tint to doff his uniform. Cook Joseph L. Lallathin, who presided pre-sided in the kitchen of O company, Twenty-first infantry, at Fort Douglas Doug-las until receiving his discharge a few days ago, happened to be calling in Soda Springs and asked for a job. Observing his uniform and the service serv-ice stripes upon his sleeve, administration adminis-tration officials handed him a star and made him town marshal. |
