Show BOND ELECTION DATE FIXED FOR APRIL 16 OGDEN, March K. Ogden city will hold a bond election April K for the purpose pur-pose of allowing the property-owning taxpayers tax-payers of the city to vote upon the question ques-tion of authorizing- the city to issue $S25,-000 $S25,-000 in bonds lor a number of needed improvements. im-provements. The official ivction of the city was taken this morning- by the board of city commissioners. The original bond election was called for April S and was for a haJf miilion dollars, part of which was to be used for ' defraying the city's portion of the joint city and county administration building, and numerous sidewalk and street extensions exten-sions and other improvements. The increase of the amount by $.i25, ? 000 is to defray the cost of building the Third ward sewer and finding a new outlet out-let for the present sewer system of the city. Forester Banqueted. OGDEN, March 14. B. A. Sherman, assistant as-sistant chief forester of the United States, was the guest at a luncheon at the Weber club today of former Mayor A. R. Hey-wood. Hey-wood. A number of Mr. Sherman's Og-den Og-den friends were present to greet him. Will Honor Missionary. OGDEN, March 14. Wilber J. Maw of Plain City, recently returned missionary from New Zealand, will be the honored guest at a party in the Plain City hall tomorrow night. The party was arranged ar-ranged by the amusement committee of the ward. |
