Bonneville pavilion was again filled with a largo crowd of motor fans last night, out to ecu the motor cars in their daisy soilings and the accessories, in the limelight of Salt Lake's most successful motor exhibit. The dealers ;.i,ended the Auto Tradesmen's Trades-men's dinner and banquet, the Big side attraction and love feast of show week. Tho auto fans spent the evening roaming around the big hall, taking in the motor sights with eager eyes, listening to the Ariel quartet warble popular songs, and indulging In the maze uf the two-step and tin) waltz when iioiiuevillo orchestra performed. Tho interest In the show has not waned as it grows older. tt still appeals to tho car owner, the fan and the uninitiated uniniti-ated apparently a;; strongly as on the first night. While the crowd was not as largo as on previous nights, yet the ticket man estimated the number at more than 4000 to pass the turnstiles. By no means did the dealers have the ilav all to themselves. Tho Salt lake fans and the inotorwise from the outside towns and cities divided tho space of Bonneville with them. At all booths a largo audience collected during the evening eve-ning session to listen to the loquacious attendants exploit the merits of their oars. .Also, tho accessory booths held a special charm for the visitors. A big, new attraction was the grinding machine set up yesterday by tho Harry U Bracken company. Show visitors saw this big and poiverlul machine doing actual ac-tual work for the first time last night. .11 is one of the latest and most modern devices of its kind in existence. The Mastery car, which proved to be no mvsterv at all, except that It is a most handsome touring auto, belonging to the lighter class of road demons, and conies from the Klcar family. It occupied occu-pied the center of the L. M. Graham booth. And the Utah Motor company placed the Packard "Greyhound" up at the front, where it was encountered by all who came to the show, and created a million miles of talk. At that this particular Packard would run a million miles rather fast stripped down to mere chassis and' engine. |
