Show .) DEATH SUMMONS MRS. HAMMOND, NATIVE OF UTAH j MRS. LZNOEA BLAIR HAMMOND. ' Mrs. Lenora Blair Hammond, wife of J. T. Hammond, member of the state board of equalization and former secretary secre-tary of state and lawyer, died suddenly yesterday morning at her home, 22S Fourth avenue. Death resulted from heart failure. Mrs. Hammond's youngest son, Roscoe B. Hammond, who is at present attending the officers' training camp at Yale college, col-lege, is" expected home on leave shortly, and funeral arrangements are awaiting word from him. Born at rigan. December 22, 1S00. Mrs. Hammond was the daughter of Major and Mrs. Seth M. Blair, Cache valley pioneers. She had been a resident of Salt Lake for more than twenty years. In addition to her son, Roscoe, Mrs. Hammond is survived sur-vived by two other sons, J. T. Hammond. Jr., associate counsel of the Oregon Short Line, and Wendell B. Hammond, attorney, attor-ney, who until recently practised at Magna; Mag-na; and by the following brothers and sisters: Postmaster J. M. Blair of Logan. Lo-gan. Mrs. M. B. Hansen of Logan, Preston Pres-ton Blair of Ogden. Mrs. Mary Holdaway and Mrs. Fannie Stringham of Salt Lake. Funeral services were held yesterday for Helen Metcalf. 7 days of age. daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John K. Metcalf. whose death occurred Wednesday. due to heart trouble. Bishop E. L. Swalberg officiated. C. E. Ferre was the speaker. Music was furnished fur-nished by the Gunnison quartet. Mrs. Florence Lydla Fletcher, wife of J. T. Fletcher, died at 4:30 o'clock yesterday yester-day morning at Judge Mercy hospital of influenza. M rs, Fletcher was born at Coalville. Utah, January S. 1SSS, daughter of Asa Wilson and Sarah B. Crowther. both dead. She leaves two children, I,aura, 10 years old, and Wilson, S. The following brothers broth-ers and sisters survive her: Mrs. Alice Lindgren and Mrs. Mildred Ilahn, Salt Lake: Alfred I Wilson. American ex-pedltionarv ex-pedltionarv forces; Asa Wilson. Jr.. Sego, I'tah. Mrs. Fletcher lived in Salt Lake the last ten years. The funeral wil b1 held at the grave at Mount Olivet cemetery at 4 o'clock this afternoon. |
