They declare that the only thing- that could now prevent pre-vent reace cominp wouid be chauvinistic opposition to President Wilson's program on the part of the allies. The Lokal Anzeiper says: "The note contains no word that can be misunderstood. President Wilson has now no reason for rejecting the German request of October 5. We are firmly convinced he wiil now put himself in communication with the allies in order to brim? about a truce and the sending of plenipotentiaries for peace negotiations."
