Show RECOVER DEAD OF WRECKED OTRANTO ISLAND OF IS LAY, Scotland, Oct 14. ( By the Associated Press. American soldiers brought here to aid in recovering the bodies of their comrades lost in the i Otranto disaster, are engaged in making 350 coffins; although the searchers believe be-lieve that not more than 300 bodies will be found, owing to an adverse change of wind. Of the 266 bodies already washed up, 167 have been identified, while seven others are known to be those of Americans, Amer-icans, but have not as yet been identified. identi-fied. All of the bodies have been temporarily tem-porarily buried near the hamlet of Kilcho-man Kilcho-man in huge graves in an open field. They will be reinterred with proper ceremonies cere-monies when sufficient coffins have been finished. |
