Much anxiety as to the future prospts of the Cash Boy Consolidated M ming company was felt during the week by the numerous stockholders of the company, com-pany, when it was diligently circulated til at the Tonopah HxU-nsion Mining company com-pany was claiming apex rights on the vein recently discoven-d on iho 1 6 00-foot level, at a point about 1 f eot south of the winze bottom of the Cah Boy. The rumor was t ho cause of many blcoks of stock being t iirown on the market, in consequence of which Cash Boy receded from its hi eh mark of 19 cents per share to a low of 10 cents. Numerous Nu-merous inouirips were made of tho Kx-tension Kx-tension officials, a nd in response, on Monday la-sl, John G. Kirchen, general manager or" the Tonopah Extension Mining Min-ing company, issued tho following signed 3Latenv nr. which, after being poste 1 in one of the brokerage houses of Tonopah, was given to the press: "My attention has been callM to rumors that have ber-n circulated about the town recently to the effect that I have marif statements that the Tonopah Extension Mining company claims an apex In its ground to the new vin recently opened up by the Cash Boy Mining company. I wish to pa y that this report is absolutely abso-lutely without foundn tion and that neither I nor any one connected with the management of tho Tonopah Extension Mining company has made surh a claim. Such reports hurt the legitimate development develop-ment of this camp, for which wo are all striving.
