A billion-dollar billion-dollar urgent deficiency appropriation bill, the largest of its kind in the history of congress, although cut half a billion from original estimates, was favorably reported to the house today by Chairman Sherley of the appropriations committee. The bill provides for the immediate needs of the war, navy and other departments. Chairman Sherley made public testimony testi-mony given to the committee by department depart-ment chiefs during the past month of committee investigation.
