Yesterday afternoon marked the third practice game the new freshman team has played against the varsity, and on two of the three occasions the infants won. Yesterday they doubled the score on the varsity men. The freshman team has been entirely reorganized. Mitt Roniney of the East high school and Manseil, Swan and Reeves of the Davis county high school are the new men. With Reeves at center, Chipman and Manseil as forwards and Roniney and Swan as guards, a combination combina-tion was formed which worked well from the start and is improving rapidly. If these men wiro eligible for the varsity this season the T'' quintette would stand a much better chance than it does now of winning the championship. The varsity aggregation is steadily improving, im-proving, despite the defeats which the infants have given it, and will be able to put up a betl?r game in each succeeding contest. The "L" students are contident it will beat the Acgies in the. next game and" will yet win the state title. |
