Combined columns of federal cavalry in command of General Francisco Murcuia and General Gen-eral Pedro Favela ambushed a large band of Villa followers in Santa Clara canyon, seventy-five mi lea northwest of Chihuahua City, Tuesday, according to an official statement given out at military mili-tary headquarters here tonigrht.
