Show CONSIDER BILL TO ASSIST EXPORTERS Will Permit American Firms to Combine Com-bine Selling Agencies in Foreign Trade; Urged by President., WASHINGTON, Dec. 7. Consideration Considera-tion of tbe Webb bill to permit American Ameri-can exporters to combine in foreign trade was begun today by the senate, with leaders believing it would be passed within a few days. In his recent re-cent address to congress President Wilson Wil-son urged its enactment. It passed the house last June. Senator Cummins proposed amendments amend-ments which he said would not disturb the antitrust laws, but would permit American exporters to maintain joint selling agencies abroad. The bill, he said, would establish similar foreign trade practices to those of Germany. The present he thought an inopportune time to amend the antitrust laws. |
