Show J. H. DAVIS TO STAY WITH THE MIDLAND J. H. Davis, recently selected to succeed suc-ceed R. W. Eardley as secretary of the Manufacturers' Association of Utah, yesterdav yes-terdav notified the executive committee of that organization that he would be unable to accept the position. No action was taken on the notification, but a meeting meet-ing of the executive committee of the manufacturers' association probably will be held some time this week to discuss the matter of selecting another secretary. secre-tary. Mr. Davis has been general agent for the Colorado Midland railway at Salt Lake for several years and in declining the secretaryship of the manufacturers' association announced that lie would remain re-main with the railroad. Mr. Davis received re-ceived word yesterday that the new management man-agement of the road had changed the name from Colorado Midland railway to Colorado Midland railroad. ( 7 |
