A leading social event of the week was the lawn fete, given by the B. Y. U. summer school, Thursday evening, at the conclusion of the first six weeks' course. Dancing, music and refreshments contributed con-tributed to the success of the affair. After a pleasant visit with Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Bates and family, Miss Bates has returned to Green vilre-, Texas.
