Tn preparation for the investigation to bo made by the Utah Htate farm bureau on the cost of mi gar production, tho Wober county coun-ty farm bureau today appointed James li. Bens of Hooper as the Weber county coun-ty member of tho state committee, ( which is to include oo tmreau repro-! repro-! sontativo from each county. With a view to obtaining a higher price for sugar heetH to be grown by the farmers farm-ers of Utah in 11)18, the state committee commit-tee will make a thorough investigation investiga-tion to ascertain whether the profits of the manufacturer are excessive as compared com-pared with those of the grower. V. P. Thomas, county agriculturist; ,,iolin Rails' and Thomas Fowles were ' appointed on a committee to arrange Jot an educational trip of Weber county coun-ty farmers into tho northern counties -'of the state. The farmers of four 1 southern Utah counties will arrive in t Ogden on August 2 while on an educational educa-tional trip north, and arrangements ,- wi'i be made to entertain them here. The rommiltee appointed today is com-T-osod of W. V. Thomas, L,. M. Trice, J. L. Tfubson and Ti. S. Jacobs. At his own request J. J. Andrews wan honorably released as secretary and treasurer of the farm bureau. His successor was not appointed. |
