Ridd and Peterson Peter-son have both joined tlie army and will be out of tlie games for the rest of the season. The Utah LUltt : Traction club is playing several of the Twentieth infantry infan-try players, and a general shake-up has taken place in almost all of the teams. A prediction as to the outcome of to-Jay's to-Jay's games is hard to make. The past few weeks the managers have been having an unlimited amount of work ami, worry in keeping their teams in playing condition, as hardly a day asres but some of the boys enlist to !lcht for Uncle Sam. One team hns contributed con-tributed six of its players for military service and more will probably go later. The Trolley will probably feel the effect ef-fect of enlistinc more than any other league in .the city, as it is composed of oldci players. At a meeting of the league held at the Western Arms company Thursday evening eve-ning matters of importance were gone over and several small difficulties were straightened out. The matter of double-headers was also gone over -and it. was decided to eliminate elimi-nate these as far as possible, as it is always hard to get the clubs on the field early enough for double-header games.
