Show ' HUDSON SUPEH BEATS ALL SPEE0REC0B0S Botterill Says War Has Not Affected Motor Sales Disadvantageous. There is scarcely a day goes by at the Botterill establishment on State street that doesn 't bring in one or more reports re-ports of Super-Six performances from various parts of the intermounf&in west. Reno, Nevada, hit the bullseye this last week when word reached Frank Botterill of a Hudson Super-Six stock ear that recently smashed all seed records rec-ords from ( aTson, .Nevada, to Keuo, Nevada, Ne-vada, covering the thirty-three miles of rough ground in 45 minutes and 15 sec- ' ons. News that pleases Mr. Botterill and the"members of his organization even more than the announcement of new Hudson victories is the word that came through from the Hudson factory several sev-eral days ago on prospective business conditions throughout the country, viewed through the eyes of W. S. Cousins, Cous-ins, editor of the American Banker, '?' fj and one of the best grounded financial l.,r writers in the world. Under a head entitled "War to Boom Business," Mr. Cousins declares that the huge war loans .being made by .the Cnited States to European nations do not mean that the sums of money represented by those loans are actually being taken out of circulation. He contends that a greater portion of these loans are passed to the European countries in the form of credits cred-its for great merchandise stocks bought in the United States. He further points out that the Liberty loan will not take a large sum of money from circulation in the United States, but ou the contrary con-trary will mean the expenditure of hundreds hun-dreds of millions of dollars in legitimate , business channels in the United States. Mr. Botterill declares that so far as his organization is concerned very few men or women have been found who have either delayed or postponed the purchase of a motor car so far this spring because of war conditions. "Not only have we found very few people who are postponing action on purchasing a car, but we' have found no one who has actually given the thought up on account of the war," declared Mr. Botterill, yesterday. "We are receiving some heavy shipments of Super-Sixes at present and,, can make immediate delivery to each and every person. ' ' |
