Show FRENCH TROOPS MAKE PROGRESS IN RHEIMS FIGHT PARIS, April 6, 11 p. m. The French official communication issued tonight reports re-ports progress for the French troops northwest of Kheims, where sanguinary lighting has been in progress for two days. Elsewhere bombardments have predominated. The communication says : Between the Somme and the Oise, north of Soisaons. artillery fighting at various points is reported. re-ported. There has been no infantry infan-try action. Northwest of Kheims we have made progress by means of grenades gren-ades east of Sapigueul. The Germans Ger-mans have violently bombarded Kheims. In the Argonne a surprise attack on an enemy trench at La Fille Morte enabled us to take a number of Germans prisoner, among them being three officers. Our airplanes destroyed two German captive balloons. bal-loons. Orient: Great activity bv the enemy artillery is reported in the Monastir Cerna Bector. Belgian communication: During the night Belgian aviators dropped bombs on various Grman militarv establishments. Feeble cannonading cannonad-ing was reported along the whole front, but with a little more intensity inten-sity in the direction of Lizerne.
