Show SANPETE CENTRAL IS READY TO SHIP High-grade Is Blocked Out; Plant for Treatment of Low-grade Ordered. Special to The Tribune. KPIIRAIM. April 6. The new directorate direc-torate of the Sanpete Central Mining company met yesterday and elected the following ofiicers: R. K. Knowlden, president and treasurer; Adalbert Anderson, Ander-son, vloe president; Harley Myers, sec-rotary. sec-rotary. Then, with 1-eo Stevenson and Anton T. Anderson, form the directorate. The company Is Incorporated, with 50il.-OCio 50il.-OCio shares of stock of the par value of 10 cents, with 2nd, 000 shares of treasury stock, and owns a group of claims about six miles west of Ephralm. Headquarters Headquar-ters are in Kphraim. Mr. Knowlden, the manager, says that a force of men is being employed in developing de-veloping a deposit or" lead-silver ore, several sev-eral tons of which are on the dump, and enough at present blocked out so that a car can be shipped soon, which should average about 30 per cent lead and from 3 to 5 ounces per ton in silver. Tt is estimated that there are several I thousand tons of low-grade lead-silver ore that can be crushed and Jigged that will pay good returns to the company. A set of jigs will be installed a t once to test the low-grade material, and if satisfactory sat-isfactory results are obtained the company com-pany will Install suitable machinery to thoroughly develop the deposits. The equipment will include a rock crusher. Hartz two-compartment jigs, gasoline engine and Overstrom roughing tables with rollers. Survey was made this week by R. M. Greaves, engineer, for a gravity tramway to bring the ore down to the, wagon road which will be constructed if the returns justify the expenditure. |
