Lee Magee, for-, for-, mer manager and second baseman of tho Brooklyn Federal league club, was purchased tonigtit by the New York American league club from Harry F. Sinclair, Sin-clair, -who held the player's contract. The purchase price was not given. Ma-gee's Ma-gee's contract called for service In 1S16 and lflT at about SS300 a season. The sale of Mageo to the Yankees undoubtedly undoubt-edly means that Sinclair has given up all hopes of purchasing the New York National league team.
