JUNIOR CLASS WINS DEBATING CONTEST Special to The Tribune. j OGDEN", Jan. 14. The junior class de-batiiiK de-batiiiK team of the Weber academy was decla red winner of the winter series of interclass debates today, when Ernest Wilkinson and Mattie Stone defeated Franklin Richards and Andrew Kasius of tbe sophomore team in the final debate. The junior class contestants had the affirmative af-firmative side of tbe question, "Resolved, that tbe United States abandon the Monroe Mon-roe doctrine." The judges in today's contest were James L. Barker, principal; T. Earl Par-doe Par-doe and Le Roy Lclshman. As the sophomore sopho-more class had previously defeated the freshmen and the junior team had defeated de-feated the seniors, the second and third-year third-year teams debated today in the finals. In a song and yell contest staged after the debate the seniors won first-row seats for the basketball game tonight by taking first in the yells and second in the songs, the juniors winning first place for their vocal ability.
