Show LIQUOR DEALERS 1 GIVEN MUCUS Told What to Do and What Not to Do; Promise to Be Good. Sixty liquor dealers of tSalt Lake and Ogden learned yesterday afternoon from the state ! fedora I food and drug departments depart-ments what constitutes whisky, hraudy, rum and other spirituous beverages. The state dairy aud food bureau decided de-cided that the liquor dealers needed the information, since nearly two score samples sam-ples bought at Salt Lake and Ogden saloons sa-loons a mouth ago showed adulterations, adultera-tions, or misbranding, or short measure, meas-ure, or several such blemishes and h.le- I tractions. Accordingly the bureau called the dealers Lo a hearing at the capitol. On the promise of the 'saloonkeepers to ' ' he good'' and live up to the requirements re-quirements of ihe slate law, the bureau decided not to prosecute them. They expressed themselves, gratified to 'nave the opportunity of tailing things over with the bureau. Many did so. Two druggists who had been found selling adulterated alcohol were also present. They -were told that they must not do it again. On the whole, the alcohol alco-hol sold by druggists of the two cities was found to be very high grade. |
