Show 2000 UTAH MEN ARE MUSTERED Iri, Soldiers at Camp Lewis Participate,- New and Interesting " Performance. ' , , Special to The Tribune. CAMP L.EWIS, Tacoma, Out. 31. Two thousand Utah soldiers at Camp Lewis today for the first time went through a ceremony that is as old in America as the American army. The men were mustered. The performance was highly interesting to tiio men, as it was the first step towards their first pay 'day, which will occur early in November. No-vember. The men were mustered by companies. As each man's name was called he shouted ''here" and advanced one paoe. Every man in every command as accounted ac-counted for before nightfall. It was announced at Camp Lewis today to-day that the fourth quota movement would be 15 per cent, plus enough mora to fill the ranks depleted by rejections. The -plan now is to have enough men to fill the quotas eonie to camp after tho fourth movement November 2 to 7. This means that selective draft troops will be arriving through November. |
