Show ELKS IN NEED OF MORE AUTOMOBILES Committee in Charge of Entertainment of Orphans Sends Out Appeal for Additional Cars. . The members of the Elks' committee in charge of today's entertainment of the orphan children of the city arc appealing ap-pealing for more automobiles with which to entertain the youngsters on their annual an-nual automobile ride. This appeal iu not directed merely to Elks, but to all automobile owners who arc interested in aiding iu giviug this rare treat to the children. Those who are able to donate machines for the trip should communicate by telephone this morning with the Elks' club. The automobiles will meet at the club at 4 o'clock this afternoon and then go to the Kearns St. Ann's orphanage and the Orphans' Home and Day nursery for their oreeious passeugers. An hour's ride about the city -will be given the children, after which they will" be taken to the Elks' club, where they will see a "movie" show all of their own. Through the courtesy of tho Mutual Film company a motion picture machine has been installed in the clubhouse and films of especial intrest to the children will be shown. Among these will be pictures of the Salt Lake fire department depart-ment in action. Fire Chief W. H. By-water By-water will give a short talk to the little lit-tle ones. The children will be provided pro-vided with refreshments. The members of the committee in charge of the entertainment is composed com-posed of Harry Elliott, chairman: Excited Ex-cited Killer Fred P. Nelson, J. B. Lewis, W. P. Reed and George Silks. |
