Show WAR OF WORDS TAKES PLACE IN THE SENATE Senator Overman Criticises Vice President Presi-dent Marshall; Later Withdraws His Remarks. WASFUXGTOX, Oct. 10. Vice President Pres-ident Marshall and Senator Overman, chairman of the rules committee, had a, war of words in the senate todav" over the use of the senate chamber vesterday to take movine pictures of the vice president and a number of senators. Mr. Marshall resented criticism by Senator Overman, and when other Democratic members attempted to smooth over the row he refused to recognize them. He insisted that the trood faith of the vice president of the United States had heen questioned and declared he did not propose to hp kicked about ns a football. When it developed, however, that the rules committee had not frivert its approval to the pro.iect, Mr. Marshall announced he would see that the films were not made public. Later, after a conference with the vice president. Senator Overman for-mallv for-mallv withdrew his criticism.
