Show RICH TAKES BROOM HOTEL. Salt Lake Man Makes Deal for. Well- Known Ogden Hostelry, Special to The Tribune. OGDEN. April 25. Hy a deal consummated consum-mated today. Ernest II. Rich, formerly of Salt Lake, whore he has resided for thirty years; and well known both In Ogden Og-den and Salt Lak' assumes active management man-agement of the P.room hotel on Twenty-fifth Twenty-fifth street and Washington avenue, taking tak-ing over the business from Jack Brown, who has been tho manager since his brother Klliolt Brown, relinquished the place several months ago. Mr. Rich has secured a lease on the property from Mrs. S. J Brown, tho owner, own-er, and will meet the public in t lie capacity ca-pacity of day clerk and general manager. Joe Brown, who for some time has been night clerk, will be retained In that place under present plans. The new manager states that he expects a share in the transient as well as the local hotel business, busi-ness, us he has equipped some of the finest rooms for the accommodation of travelers with samples, and that he would endeavor to even excel the service heretofore here-tofore given at the hotel, which bears a good repute among Its many patrons. The Hroom hotel was built by John Broom, and ILs architecture Is designed after the Palace hotel of San Francisco, which provides large bay windows, each window standing out over tho street. |
