Y., and Baltimore, Md to tho circuit, making- It an eight-club eight-club organization, and refused to havo any dealings whatever with Horace Fo-gol, Fo-gol, representing Philadelphia capitalists. A report was circulated that Charles Carr, former manager of tho Kansas City American association team, would be a canillato for president of the league to succeed John T. Powers, the organizer. Ihe directors, In their decision to try to sijrn players of tho two major leagues, voted not to ask any man In organized baseball already under contract to Join their organization, but they hold that any player under a reserve clauso would bo offered a contract If ho wished to play In tho new organization.
