Smith, who Is held for trial on a charge of complicity In tho sending of blackhand letters to the Eccles fa mil' of Ogdcn, is probably connected with that and other cases, 19 the belief of David Edwards, private doloctive, who was recently riddled with buckshot while attempting to solve the blackhand mystery in Ogden. Mr. Edwards has recovered from his wounds, having spent nearly a month in an Ogden hospital. He believes, however, how-ever, that lie still has four or five buckshot in his body which are doing him uo serious harm. He is in Suit Lake, a guest of David Mutlson at the Kenyon hotel.
