Tho October report of the Goldfield Consolidated has just been issued by Albert Burch, general manager, and shows a not profit for tho month of $M6,91S,41. Tho usual largo tonnago of oro was extracted and treated in the Consolidated mill on Columbia mountain. moun-tain. Tho production for tho month was 301SG tons, tho not operating coHts having been reduced to .-6.11 a ton, which is regnrded as highly satisfactory in viow of tho character of oro treated. No now oro bodies wore opened during tho month, but tho results obtained wore normal, and a largo amount of development is being done, resulting in tho opening up and exploration of a wide area of virgin territory that may becomo jproductive. Only a small proportion ol tho company's acreago has been explored, and development at depth shows the deposits to continue to tho lower levels. Mohawk mine Tho 170 drift, northerly from tho Shcots-Ish stopes, produced 142 tons of $8 ore, and tho 3-R sill In tho same territory was extended and produced pro-duced fifty-two tons of $12 oro. No. 57, a crossout on tho new No. 1 level near tho Oddle uhaft. passed through twenty feet of oro and produced 135 tons of flO oro. Tho 130 drift on tho No. 1 level, about 200 feot southwest of tho Mohawk shaft, was oxtonded and produced pro-duced sevontcon tons of $12 oro. Tho 190 stopes below tho old Si4 oro body, were Inrgcly Increased in lloor area during tho month. Red Top-Tjaguna Very little development develop-ment work was performed In these mines and no discoveries of Importance were made. Clermont-Jumho Most of tho development develop-ment work on these mines was confined to tho eighth and ninth levels, and while vome good assays were obtained at somo points, no oro bodies of commercial alr.c and grado were developed. |
