I la sard of tho American Polo association announced the receipt today of tho challenge of the Hurllngham club of England for a Herlcs of matches to he played for tho international polo cup in this country next year. Much to tho surprise of flic American polo authorities, authori-ties, the English club rcducsta that pmes be played In tho early part of Juno, instead of tho fall, as had been previously previ-ously Intimated would bo tho case.
