Show S. C, CONSTANT DIES AFTER BRIEF ILLNESS Sohuyler C. Constant, formerly of Salt Lake, and widely known In tho east, west and middle west, died at St. Mark's hospital at 3 o'clock yesterday morning. Mr. Constant had been an inmate in-mate of the hospital less than a week. Pneumonia was the causo of death. For some time past Mr. Constant's home had boon in New York olty, where ho had been engaged In mining promotions and other general promotion work. Within the past few years Mr. Constant had made numerous trips abroad and had boen generally successful in business. Some weeks ago Mrs. Constant, who was Miss Bessie Gallachor, daughter of John Gallacher. came to Salt Lake, with her two children, to visit her family and Mr. Constant came later. Last Thursday he was taken sick and was removed to the hospital. Pneumonia soon developed devel-oped and death quickly ensued. In addition to his widow and two children chil-dren Mr. Constant is survived by three sisters. They are: Mrs, Fannie Emory and Mrs. Oertlo Stokes of New York city, nnd Mrs. Louise Emorlck of Peru, Ind.. air. Constant's former homo. Friday afternoon Mrs. Constant, accompanied by her two children, will leave 'with the body for Peru, Ind , where final services will be held. |
