Show MUSIC FOR DEMOCRATS. Mt. Pleasant Band to Play at Convention and at Larjoor). A twenly-four piece band arrived from Mt. Pleasant yenterday aftornoon to be present at the state Democratic convention conven-tion today and at the Wilson day cele-bra.tIon cele-bra.tIon at Lagoon Friday. Tho band marched through tho principal streets of the city last evening and demonstrated to the people who heard tho music that the musical talent of Mt. Pleasant Is of a high order. .Vfter playing on tho streets, the band played several selec-tlona selec-tlona In front of the Cullen hotel, where the membera will stay until Sunday. "This is the first time I have got the band to Salt Lake City," said L. P. NelHon. lt manager, "and I expect to show the people bore what the musicians of my town can do. W. C. Anderson, leader of the band, and every member of tho organization, are musicians. They will play on the streets again at 3M." o'clock tomorrow morning and will bn on hand all through the convention and at Lagoon Friday." |
