Show INSPECTS. NATIONAL FORESTS. ,i High Official of Service Says Conditions ' Are Excellent. Special to The Tribune. OGDEN. June 28. Associate Forester A,. F. Potter of the national forest service serv-ice spent a short time In the city today looking after the general Interests of the forest service. Mr. Potter Is on his way to .the Neada forests, where ho will remain re-main a few days, after which he will return re-turn to Ogden and make an Inspection of forest conditions. Mr. Potter came from Colorado to Ogden, Og-den, and before returning to the national capital ho will vlslr all the districts of the- forest service, with a view to ascertaining ascer-taining the real conditions of the service serv-ice "In every department. Mr. Potter says that conditions In the centennial state are good, and that the forest service was never more adequate than at the present time. Ho says that all things connected with the service are working in harmony and that good results aro being realized. When called to the position of associate asso-ciate forester by Henry S. Graves. Mr-Potter Mr-Potter was the acting forester under the appointment of the president temporarily to, fill the vacancy occasioned by the resignation of GIfford Pinchot. During Mr. Plnchot's administration Mr. Potter was at the head of tho grazing branch of the national forestry. |
