Show CITY Fill THIP THE LIGHT FANTASTIC Many Attend Rail for Benefit of Association at the Odeon Hall. At Odeon hall Friday night the lads of the Salt Lake fire department and many of their friends spent a pleasant evening in dancing. The hall was prettily decorated wilh palms, the decorations being the work of the firemen themselves, many of whom have spent their leisure hours the past few days In collecting flowers and making preparations for Ihe event of last evening. The number of gay dancers was exceptionally ex-ceptionally large, and the pleasure of the affair was correspondingly gre;t. Assistant As-sistant Chief Fitzgerald and Mrs. Fitzgerald Fitz-gerald generated thp Intricate wcavlngs of the grand march. Last night's ball was the annual function func-tion which Is given by the Salt Lake City .Firemen's association for the benefit of the relief fund of that organization. That fund is maintained for use In aiding aid-ing the needy orphans and widows of firemen. In paying the funeral expenses of comrade i Ire-fighters and for other similar purposes. A- S. Baker. William Hoffman and Lafayette La-fayette Walker were the commitcc in charge. Unfortunately, not all the firemen fire-men were able to be present, for those whose day off does not happen to be Friday Fri-day were obliged to remain on duty in the usual manner. |
