Show ARTIST IS CHARGED WITH KMC GIRL Miss Annie Dobler Has Rudolph Weinberger Arrested on Charge of Assault. Special to The Tribune. PROVO, Feb. 1. According to charges made against Rudolph Weinberger, a cartoonist, by Miss Annie Doblor. a young woman employed as a stenographer in the office of tho Provo Post, an Imitation Imita-tion of tho pretty little play, "Tho Time. Tho Place and The Girl." was enacted in tho office of that newspaper Monday. The time, as aforesaid, according to tho young woman's testimony, was yesterday; yester-day; tho place, the office of tho Provo Post; and the girl herself. But It was evidently the wrong time, the wrong place and the wrong girl. Bccauso Weinberger placed his arm around hor and klssod her, according to her allegations, she had him arrested, charging him with assault. as-sault. Wolnbergor, who Is about" 35 years old, was arrested this morning on a complaint com-plaint sworn to by Miss Doblor, who Is about 21 years of age. The complaint charges him with assault. When arraigned ar-raigned before Justice A. A. Noon today, tho man pleaded not guilty, denying all tho girl's charges against him. In the hearing, Miss Doblor testified that the cartoonist, who -had been doing some work for the paper by which sho Is employed, em-ployed, walked Into the offlco of the Post yesterday and put his arm arouna her. which she resented. He then pushed her against the wall, she alleged, and kissed hor. Tho hearing will bo continued tomorrow. Weinberger has announced his Intention Inten-tion of fighting the case to a Mnlsh. His counsel Is Attorney D. D. HouU, and City Attorney Robert Anderson represents repre-sents the prosecution. Weinberger Is the man who was brought back to Provo from Logan a fow weeks ago by tho local officers, charged with "Jumping" a board bill. This case, however, was settled out of court. |
