The hotel, now better known as the Manitou. has been completely remodeled, decorated and refurnished by tho Auerbachs at a cost of nearly SoO.OOO, and. tinder the name of the Linden, the Manitou hotel k lands today as one of the most beautifully furnished fur-nished and equipped hotels In the entire en-tire west. Beginning with the lobby and ending with the top floor, every Inch of tin' walls and floors has been gone. over, and everv piece of furniture and every yard of carpet hi Ihe Immense bulldinK Is absolutely new. About seventy-live of the one hundred rooms and suites are now completely furnished, and the remainder, now partly furnished, will be made ready for occupancy as soon as a few belated carloads of furniture arrive from the east. The remodellnp of the hotel build-iiip build-iiip hns been done by Wilson & McDonald, McDon-ald, local contractor!?, and their work has been a subject of Kcneral comment, for the reason that the immense contract con-tract has been executed in admirable style In only six weeks" time. This Includes In-cludes the entire remodeling of the lobby on the Kiound floor, making It one of the finest hotel lobbies In this part of the country. The room adjoining on the west Is being remodeled for a cafe which will open Jn about two weeks, making a specialty spe-cialty of Imported delicatessen. Mrs. Ida M. Godman. who will manage the Linden hotel, has assumed personal supervision of the furnishing of ihe hotel, which has been done by the Freed Furniture find Carpet company of Salt Lnkc. Mrs. God-man God-man bus been highly successful in the management of hotels in Salt Lake, and she will continue to manage the Tour' mine hotel. In some of flic larger suites the furniture is of the finest mnhogn. while In others Circassian walnut and hlrdseye maple are used with artistic effect. ef-fect. The smaller rooms and suites nr"1 furnished In substantial and artistic mission mis-sion style. Tho remodeling of the building build-ing has Included new plumbing throughout through-out and many now bathrooms hnvo been built . The building has also been rewired, re-wired, and now chandeliers, many being be-ing of special design, have been manufactured manu-factured and put In place by the Art Metal Chandelier company of Salt Lake. In the basement. Wlllard Wean Is now engaged in remodeling the Turkish bathrooms bath-rooms In a manner that will make this establishment one of the finest In the west. Mr. Bean Is well known In Salt Lake as an athletic, director and Instructor In-structor of ability. Large electric lights have been plnccd In front of tho Linden hotel and the street will' be hrllllantb lighted.
