Show DIAMOND TIRES RUN 3000 MILES SANS PU2JGTURE .7. S. Burpee, cashier of the West Oakland Oak-land Bank and Trust company, has made an enviable record, and is. hungry for more. April 13, Mr. Burpee said to G. E. Mathewson, Pacific coast manager of the Diamond Rubber company of New York: "The four Diamond tires on my 1911 Sunset have run a distance of 3000. milcs without a puncture, blow-out or even'a cut or a scratch in an' casing. I do not claim this as a record, but 1 expect to make a record with this set of tires, and am simply letting you know of my intentions and progress at this time. I have alwaj's obtained greater mileage from Diamond tires than from any other, and am so well pleased with them that T am giving you fair warning now that I expect to run my present set up into some interesting figures. Mr. Burpee stated: "The four Diamond casings on my Sunset 30 have covered to date 4200 miles and they show no noticeable wear. 1 have rpirpivnrl tn f1ntr in nil fnilr n.rmoc hnf one puncture, which proves that it takes something pretty sharp to go through a Diamond casing.
