Every industrial indus-trial concern in the United States and every one of its employes have a deep Interest In tho work of tho national commission com-mission on employers' liability and work- mrni'c nmnAns'j I Inn. If a law be enacted as a result of the work of the commission, which is highly probable, it will apply only to interstate carriers and to corporations which indubitably in-dubitably como under tho commerce clause of the constitution. But of importance im-portance also Is the fact that the law will serve as a model for tho states and aa a result Is bound to remedy tho unsatisfactory un-satisfactory and even archaic conditions which now exist with respect to the relations re-lations of employers and employes. The commission has held one session and will hold others beginning on ne.vt Wednesday. It will hoar the reports of tho railroads twenty-one roads have iolncd to present their views and will have their attorneys testify. Frank B. Kellogg will represent the railway trainmen train-men and other employes' interested. So far as the railroads aro concerned they have announced that their attitude will be one of co-operation rather than obstruction. The tralnmei of course, want the legislation. leg-islation. Thc result, briefly, undoubtedly will be a tromondous reduction through the adoption of improved appliances and groater care of tho terribly high ratio of accidents which now afflict tho service of the carriers.
