Louder, a former well known Salt Lake boy, now a resident of Oakland, Oak-land, Cal., has been slcnally honored by being elected to the presidency of California Cali-fornia branch No. 1C, Nntlonal Association Associa-tion of Postofiice Clerks, the convention of which was recently held In San Francisco. Fran-cisco. Tho young man Is tho son of J. N. Louder of this city, wno is prominently connected with the parking department of tho municipality. Young Mr. Louder lived in Salt Lake City since childhood and servud under Major Richard W. Young in battery A, Utah artillery. In the Philippines, where lie made an excellent rocord. After returning home from tho Philippines Mr. Louder entered the railway rail-way mail service and for a time ran between be-tween thh city and Butte, Mont. Later he ran from Ogden to San Francisco and still later wus transferred to the mailing division of the Oakland postofflce. Mr. Louder has always taken an active Interest In the National Guard, and while in Ogden served as first lieutenant of company E. He also served as adjutant nnd is now commander of tho Alameda post, Spanish War Veterans. |
