There is In session In this city, and will be up to and Including February ll. what Is known as the commissioners of Indian war records, on tho second floor of the Armory building. Plerpont street. This commission was appointed by Governor Gov-ernor Spiv about a year ago. It consists of E. A. Wedgwood. .1 M. Wcstwood, M. Li. Pratt and J. If. Arthur. Tho commission Is now in session for the last time for veterans who have not mado their records lo do so. and on Fcb-ruarv Fcb-ruarv 10 the books will be finally closed. Under tho law, n veteran is entitled to receive 5S per month: tin; widow of a veteran Is entitled to $1 per month. To obtain Ibis sum tho veteran must make oath as to where, when and under un-der whom ho served, and he must have two witnesses who wcro with him In the same company to prove that ho gave such service. The widow, to obtain her allowance, al-lowance, must have two witnesses who were, with her husband In the Indian campaigns lo prove that she Is entitled to receive I he pension.
