Nevada, Wyoming, Idaho and Montana, have been killed by tho long slcgo of cold weather during thc past three months. Added to the cold weather Is thc recent hurricane which was felt In the live states mentioned. men-tioned. This thc sheepmen assert will be responsible for heavy losses In their flocks. Many of the sheep have not been fed during thc past two months, and have been relying on thc meager grazing facilities fa-cilities offered on thc winter ranges. These animals being in a weakened condition, con-dition, have unquestionably been easy prey to tho heavy wind storms which swept over the deserts, and from which thc flocks were afforded no protection. |
