Show DEATH OP WIFE CAUSES MAN TO BECOME INSANE Special to The Tribune. OGDEN. Fob. 3. Brooding over the death of his wife last fall is believed to have been responsible for the mental weakness of Herbert Ford, a blacksmith, who was thte afternoon adjudged Insane by a board; dfluriii'cy and committed to thc stato mental hospital at Provo. Ford was picked up by thc pollco several sev-eral days ago and sent to thc Ogdcn general gen-eral hospital for treatment. .His condition condi-tion grew worse, and, the unfortunate man becoming violent, his removal was ordorod to the padded cell at the county Jail. Ford has hallucinations which lead him to believe that some one Is following him for the purpose of taking his life. He arrived In tho United States last fall from England, accompanied by his wife and two children. His wife died a short time after reaching this stato. and since that time Ford Is said to have shown signs of melancholia, until recently hu became violently Insane. Deputy Shcrift Burk took the Insano man to Provo, where he will bo held pending arrangements arrange-ments for his deportation to his home In England. |
