Show UTAH METAL IS Eastern Officials Visit Property at Bingham and Find All Satisfactory. BIG TUNNEL ALREADY IN MILLING ORES Hydro-Electric Plant Working Like Charm, and Allows Economical Effort. W. B. Farmer. V. E. L. Dllloway and E. Fordyce, eastern officials of tho Utah Metal company, havo returned to Salt Lake from the property of the organization organi-zation at Bingham. This is the company which has taken over the Bingham Metals, Bingham Central and Bingham Standard groups, along with much adjacent ad-jacent territory, giving In round numbers num-bers a total of 3400 acres or ground. The property extends from the Bingham over into the Tooele aido of the Ocjuirrh range of mountains, along which tho company Is now driving a tunnel so as to connect con-nect with Bingham and the Tooele valley sides at tho base of tho mountain. This tunnol Is now In 3100 feet from the Tooele side, and it is crossculting the whole country. Everything at thu property is done by eloctrlcity, the company com-pany having Installed a complete hydroelectric hydro-electric system In units so as to maintain main-tain operations without interruption should any repairs be necessary to any of tho various parts of tho power system. sys-tem. Tho water is secured from two independent in-dependent sources, an abundant flow Is assured and Just a few days ago tho management completed and placed Into commission a second dam which practically practi-cally rounds out all the water required In the work. There has been some question as to whether or not ore would be found on the Tooele side of the mountain, and this question has been settled once for all by recent developments In tho tunnel. tun-nel.
